Hi All,
Inspired by a request from Hotspur for a 'searchable archive' (http://www.silverjuke.net/forum/topic-3323.html) I came up with this plugin.
In his own words: One of the things I like about the modern bar-room jukeboxes is their 'archive' feature, for a lack of a better term. The idea is that they display a limited number of albums for browsing purposes, while providing access to a much larger database of songs through the search function.
You can activate and setup this plugin from "settings->advanced->further options->AutoSearchAll"
The plugin will default the active music selection to the one you specified. When you enter a search, it will clear the music selection making the search apply to all available tracks (however when you select a music selection while you already have filled in a search string, it will keep the searchstring and use it for the selection you specified). Only when you clear the search the plugin will activate your default music selection again.
NOTE:
- Keeping the searchstring while switching to a different music selection is not native SJ behaviour, but I consider this an improvement
- Do not activate the "settings->kiosk mode->functionality->limit tracks to music selection" at the same time
- Do not use this script with my Bluetouch/RedTouch skins, they are just incompatible
Enjoy,
SilverEagle

This is great, SilverEagle. The script works quite well in most skins, and I've only found two problems.
- In Silveriness and similar skins, if the search field is empty, it's possible to X out of the default browsing search mode, interrupting the script and displaying all the tracks, not just the ones in the music selection. It's a relatively easy fix to get it back into the default mode (just type enter character and X out), but it would be nice to make this function drunk-proof.
- In Eagle Blue Touch, almost any activity breaks the script.
This is a great addition to Silverjuke. Thanks for your hard work.

Yes, isn't it great? But I fixed it: I included a warning in the top post of this thread...
I'll get back to the other issue later...
