"Classic Box" - A jukebox with lots of features!
Based on a skin from Hound Dog for the program DWJukebox. Thank you very much for allowing me using your graphics as the base for by skin.
Highlights of the "Classic Box" skins:
- Animated matrix and text when music is playing
- 4 view: Album, Covers, List, Now Playing (new!)
- the playing track can be rated directly
- comments are shown on the "now playing" view (configurable)
- "Global Rating": ratings can be written to a separate database to take them over to other Silverjuke installations.
- automatic filter for:
- Artist
- Genre
- Year, Comment, Group, Music selection (configurable)
All filters can be used directly by buttons
- Direct selections of saved playlists.
- the total number of tracks, the total time and the current postion may be displayed.
- users can leave a message together with the playing track
- users can leave a wishlist
- Seeking in 10-seconds-steps
- The following function can be assigned to a hotkey or to a remote control:
- Rating * - Rating *****
- Update filters
- Change view
- Now Playing
- Write global ratings
- Add a message to the current title

It's a beautiful skin! I would love to use it on my touchscreen, but it is only 1024x768. Is there any way for you to make it available in that resolution?

Nice to see that you like my skin. I agree using this with a touch screen must be good.
Resolution 1024 x 768: Very difficult. Problem is that the skin has a lot of areas which are only nice, but has no functions, means that the area where information is shown, or where I can place the buttons (in a decent size) is limited, and I'm afraid, that with a resolution of 1024 x 768 there will be no more space for any information.
But if you have an idea how to squeeze the screen (take a screen shot of the actual one, and squeeze it (and cut areas which are not needed) in a graphic program). If the result is fine, I will be pleased to do it. Openly spoken: I've tried this, and the result was bad, too bad to continue. I've scrapped it. But perhaps you have a better idea.

Hi Frenchi- I concur, what a great skin! I really like the integration of the YEAR/Artist cycling thru the quick launch buttons on the left/right columns! Really nice. I too have a 1024x768 touchscreen, and I'd love to see a version to fit that. I've photoshopped an example, you can see it here (apologies, quick cut/paste job, kinda sloppy). So, you can see where I'm getting at! I suggest eliminating the right menu column, and deleting the buttons above the Queue list/Now playing window.

ok, beside the fact that main window is not longer central (and with this the skin is in my eyes not balanced) your picture is still 1156 x 993.
Another "problem" is that having only one button column, scrolling through the artist becomes now boring, if you have a lot of Artists (I know some people having more than several thousands)
But I see what you mean. It seems that there is a real demand for the 1024 x 768 size. (BTW: Also from my side, because on my jukebox in the living room I have also 1024x768 
).
So promise to me that you will give your vote to me next year (@ SilverEagle: the campaign starts early 
) , and I will check and play a little bit with it. But please give me a little time, cause I need to do also other things beside Silverjuke scripting (at least my art director thinks so 
).
If anybody has an good idea which area can be skipped: help is highly welcome.

Yes, I totally agree on your comments; I can tell you put so much effort into the aesthetics, that it's less than optimum with the main window off-center. My mockup eliminated the right column, thinking this would involve the least amount of redesign on your part; it's definitely nicer w/ 2 columns.
One suggestion for decreasing the Vertical Resolution is to take the Filter/View/Auto/Visu buttons and append them to the area containing the Now/Next/End/Display buttons. Then, take the Playback transport buttons, and put them on the right.
You got my vote for next year! :)

Hey guys,
this is only to inform you that I'm actually working on the Classic Box 1024x768. It's not finished now, still some work to do, but the frame is established, as you can see.
I do not know how long it will take, but please stay tuned.
